I guess this is mildly amusing. But it strikes me that if you posted something like this about say, Arabs, it might be thought of as bigoted. Basically, it holds up other people for ridicule, giving everyone a laugh at the toothless hillbillies expense. But a lot of the individuals here may not be all that offensive if you had the opportunity to speak to them for a while. Just a thought.
Point taken. However, I think mocking a particular lifestyle is a lesser offense than mocking an ethnic or religious group. Also, it shouldn't be implied from the post (or at least, it was not my intention to suggest) that I find hillbillies as a group offensive.
It made me homesick!!!
